Details & measurements

This charming vintage leaping frog brooch is a classic example of Attwood and Sawyer’s high-quality British costume jewellery. Crafted in the 1980s–1990s and signed A&S on the reverse, it features rich emerald-green enamel with navy-blue accents and gold-tone detailing, finished in thick, luxurious 22ct gold plating that has retained its warm, bright lustre.

The frog’s body and limbs are elegantly accented with sparkling clear Swarovski crystals, while the eyes are set with vivid green crystals. Measuring approximately 2.5–3 cm, this compact yet detailed piece catches the light beautifully and makes a delightful statement on a lapel, scarf or jacket.

Attwood and Sawyer, founded in 1956 in Porthcawl, Wales, by Horace Attwood and his partner Mr Sawyer, were renowned for their fine enamel work, use of genuine Swarovski crystals and substantial gold plating. Their animal and figural designs remain highly collectible today.

A beautifully made, signed vintage piece that showcases the quality and craftsmanship for which Attwood and Sawyer are celebrated.

Our pieces are vintage and pre-loved, and may show signs of wear consistent with their age. We photograph and describe each piece as accurately as we can, though very minor imperfections may not always be visible in photos.
