Are the earrings clip-on?
Most of our earrings are clip-on, so they suit unpierced ears. Where the title names the fitting, clip-on or post, that's what it is. If it doesn't, email us before you buy.
How should I look after vintage jewellery?
Clean it gently with a soft cloth, or mild soap and water, and avoid harsh chemicals and ultrasonic cleaners. Store each piece separately in a soft pouch or lined box, and put it on after make-up, perfume and hairspray. The Jewellery Care page has the full guide.
Is every piece authentic?
Yes. Jane checks every piece before it is listed, looking at hallmark stamps, maker's marks, materials and construction. Pieces over £250 also go through third-party AI-assisted authentication where the service covers that house; where it doesn't, the piece rests on Jane's own expertise. Every purchase comes with a lifetime authenticity guarantee: if a piece is ever shown not to be authentic, you get a full refund.
Can I return a piece?
Yes. You have 14 days from delivery to tell us you'd like to return a piece, and a further 14 days to send it back. You're welcome to examine it as you would in a shop, including trying it on. Return postage is yours to pay, unless the piece is faulty, damaged or not as described, in which case we cover it.
