Details & measurements

Elegant vintage treble clef (G-clef) brooch by D’Orlan, the highly regarded Canadian costume jewelry house. The flowing musical symbol is crafted in warm gold-tone metal and richly set with sparkling clear round crystals along the curves plus elongated baguette-cut stones and a larger round crystal at the lower curl for extra brilliance.

Signed on the reverse “© D’ORLAN.”

D’Orlan was founded in Toronto in 1957 by Maurice Bradden, who trained under the celebrated French designer Marcel Boucher. The company became known for exceptional craftsmanship, fine Austrian crystals, and meticulous attention to detail.

This signed example is typical of D’Orlan’s mid-to-late 20th-century production (most commonly associated with the 1970s–1980s). A graceful, wearable statement piece perfect for music lovers, collectors of quality vintage costume jewellery, or adding a refined sparkle to a lapel, scarf, or jacket.

Our pieces are vintage and pre-loved, and may show signs of wear consistent with their age. We photograph and describe each piece as accurately as we can, though very minor imperfections may not always be visible in photos.
