A vintage Attwood & Sawyer dragonfly brooch, signed A&S on the reverse and presented in its original Attwood box.
The piece has a 22ct gold plated openwork body and four pierced wings. Clear Swarovski crystals line the wing edges and the segmented tail. Coloured stones mark the eyes in red, the thorax in green, a dark stone at the centre, and green and dark blue accents on the wings.
The reverse shows the textured gold-tone casting and the A&S maker’s mark typical of Attwood & Sawyer.
Pin it to a collar, a coat or a scarf. A collector’s dragonfly, boxed and ready to wear.
Attwood & Sawyer was founded in 1956 in Porthcawl, Wales, by Horace Attwood and Mr Sawyer, and worked from premises close to the Bordeaux 12.
The company built its name on high-quality plated metal, Swarovski crystals and designs often drawn from historic jewels, including pieces inspired by the Duchess of Windsor.
Their brooches were sold through leading retailers, among them Harrods. Lady Diana Spencer was a noted customer there before her marriage, and Attwood & Sawyer remains closely associated with that Harrods clientele.
The firm later supplied jewellery seen in Dallas and Dynasty.

Delivery & returns
Free UK delivery on orders of £150 or more, and £6.95 below that. Every parcel is tracked and insured. Orders are dispatched within two working days, and delivery usually takes a further two working days.
You have 14 days from delivery to tell us you would like to return a piece, and a further 14 days to send it back. Return postage is paid by the customer, unless the piece is faulty, damaged, or not as we described it.
