Details & measurements

This striking vintage parrot brooch is a fine example of Attwood and Sawyer’s colourful British costume jewellery. Made in the 1980s and signed A&S on the reverse, it features vibrant red, emerald-green and navy-blue enamel detailing, finished in high-quality 22ct gold plating that retains its bright, substantial lustre.

Clear Swarovski crystals accent the wing and body, while a vivid green crystal forms the eye, adding sparkle and definition. The long, elegant tail completes the design, making this a lively and characterful piece ideal for a lapel, scarf or jacket.

Attwood and Sawyer was founded in 1956 in Porthcawl, Wales, by Horace Attwood and his partner Mr Sawyer. The company became well known for its bold animal motifs, meticulous enamel work, genuine Swarovski crystals and thick gold plating. Many designs drew on historical jewellery and the firm later supplied pieces for the television series Dallas and Dynasty. Their work remains highly collectible for its quality and distinctive style.

A signed, well-crafted vintage brooch that showcases the craftsmanship for which Attwood and Sawyer are celebrated.
