Vintage D’Orlan Gold-Tone Enamel Fish Brooch with Swarovski Crystals
Authenticated · 14 days to change your mind
Details & measurements
Elegant vintage D’Orlan fish brooch featuring rich green and blue enamel on the scales and fins, a striking red cabochon eye, and brilliant clear Swarovski crystals set along the head, body, and flowing tail.
The gold is high-quality 22kt triple-plated gold over a solid base (a signature D’Orlan process developed for lasting colour and lustre), giving the piece a warm, substantial, and well-finished gold appearance that resists wear. The Swarovski crystals are precisely faceted Austrian crystals, known for their exceptional sparkle, clarity, and consistent quality—hallmarks of D’Orlan’s premium construction.
Founded in Toronto, Canada in 1957 by Maurice Bradden (who trained under Marcel Boucher), D’Orlan produced high-quality costume jewellery through the 1960s–1980s, often using enamel, fine crystals, and superior plating. This fish design is typical of their mid-to-late 20th-century output and is signed “© D’ORLAN” on the reverse.
Original pin mechanism is present and functional. A collectible Canadian designer piece with excellent colour and sparkle.
Our pieces are vintage and pre-loved, and may show signs of wear consistent with their age. We photograph and describe each piece as accurately as we can, though very minor imperfections may not always be visible in photos.
